Fire Equipment Sales Rep – Eastern Montana

Do you have a passion for the fire service and a drive to succeed? Are you a firefighter looking for a rewarding side hustle, or perhaps a career change? Norse Fire Equipment, a firefighter-owned company, is searching for a motivated and self-directed 1099 independent sales representative to join our team.

In this commission-based role, your success is directly tied to your effort and expertise. You’ll be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with fire departments throughout your region, and selling top-of-the-line fire equipment from industry-leading brands like Phenix Fire Helmets, Mighty Struts, Vanguard Safetywear, Fire Hooks Unlimited, and more!

We are a small, flexible company with a big mission: to equip firefighters with the tools they need to stay safe and save lives. If you’re a self-starter with a deep understanding of the fire service and a relentless drive to win, we want to hear from you!

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to target fire departments in your assigned territory.
  • Build strong relationships with fire chiefs, purchasing managers, and other decision-makers.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of fire equipment and how it benefits fire departments.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical expertise to your clients.
  • Generate leads, proposals, and close deals to achieve your sales goals.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in sales, or a strong desire to excel in a sales career.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the fire service (or related field).
  • A deep understanding of firefighting equipment and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • A genuine passion for the fire service and firefighter safety.
